1. What is the WCGN dues policy?
Dues must be paid in full by June 15. The WCGN Treasurer may grant an extension until September 15. Requests for extensions must be made by email to the WCGN Treasurer by May 15. Extensions to Sept. 15 are possible for 2014 only. Members should plan to pay dues for 2017-2018 by June 15, 2017.
Members who have not paid dues on time will have suspended benefits, including access to member pages of the WCGN website and participation in programs.
Lapsed Memberships can be reinstated at the time dues are paid in full.

2. When are dues for returning members renewed?
Dues invoices are sent April 30 and are due by June 15 for the upcoming year. WCGN's fiscal year is July 1-June 30. Instructions for renewals are here.
3. How much does my organization pay if we join as a new member mid-year?
We don't prorate dues. New members joining between July 1 and April 15 pay $200 for the current year. New members joining between April 15 and June 30 pay $200 dues to cover the upcoming fiscal year beginning July 1, but membership benefits are extended immediately.
4. Can I pay dues by credit card or by check?
Dues payments must be made online using PayPal or a credit card. We are unable to accept checks for membership dues.
5. Are dues tax deductible?
If an individual pays dues on behalf of her organization, then the dues can be considered a donation and are eligible for a tax deduction to the extent of IRS guidelines. Tax receipts will be issued for donations of $250 or more per IRS guidelines.
6. Can matching funds be applied toward dues?
Matching funds will not be considered as a contribution toward dues. However, dues paid by an individual may be matched by an employer and the match will be considered as an unrestricted operating donation to WCGN. Donations toward operating costs are greatly appreciated! Contact us if you need information for your company's matching form.
*Please note that the IRS ignores apostrophes so we are filed under "Womens Collective Giving Grantmakers Network" and our virtual organization is incorporated in Charlotte, NC.
7. What do membership dues pay for?
Dues pay for WCGN's modest operating expenses, such as website and communications fees, webinars, and conference support.
8. Are dues the only revenue for WCGN?
The network's founders funded WCGN's operations in its first five years. WCGN was the appreciative recipient of pro-bono legal services to file for our nonprofit status in 2013, as well as a generous grant to initiate the application. The founding board contributed seed money the first year until dues were collected.
Since then, we annually pursue additional revenue through corporate sponsorships and gratefully accept donations.
9. What is WCGN's budget?
WCGN has a modest budget which is larger in conference years. Our Board of Directors operates as both a working board and a governance board and organizational operations are supported entirely by their volunteer efforts.
